NOT THIS TIME (c, 2, Giant's Causeway–Miss Macy Sue {GSW, $880,915} by Trippi) was backed down to 7-5 first up at Churchill Downs June 30, but fell out of the gate and made only a minor impact late to check in a distant fifth behind 'TDN Rising Star'-garnering future GIII Sanford S. hero Bitumen (Mineshaft). Opening at 1-9 for this stretch-out attempt, the Albaugh homebred drifted up to 1-2 and made that price look like a bargain. Straight to the front through easy enough fractions, the dark bay shook free turning for home and poured it on from there to graduate as he pleased by 10 lengths. Society Beau (Curlin) rallied for second. The winner is a half to 'TDN Rising Stars' Liam's Map (Unbridled's Song), MGISW, $1,358,940–an $800,000 KEESEP yearling–and Taylor S (Medaglia d'Oro), SW & GSP, $121,519. Not This Time's unplaced then-5-year-old half-sister Minnie Macy (A.P. Indy) sold for $500,000 at last year's Keeneland November sale in foal to Curlin. Miss Macy Sue produced a Bodemeister colt last term. Lifetime Record: 2-1-0-0, $16,773. Click for the Equibase.com chart.
