An admirably consistent performer over Southern California turf courses, 4-year-old Lady of Shamrock (Scat Daddy) generated plenty of interest on the Keeneland sales grounds and was knocked down to the Wertheimer brothers for an even $2 million Tuesday afternoon. Consigned by Lane's End as agent, Lady of Shamrock was a stakes winner at two and ascended to the top of the ranks last season with wins back-to-back in the GI American Oaks and the GI Del Mar Oaks. She added a victory in this year's GII Santa Barbara H. and was runner-up in the GII Santa Ana S., GII New York S. and GII John C. Mabee S. She heads to the breeding shed with seven wins in 18 starts and earnings of $950,400.
