Due to high winds and arctic temperatures, officials at the New York Racing Association announced the cancellation of its live racing program early Sunday morning. The featured Ruthless S. will be rescheduled for next Sunday, Jan. 10. The facility was to remain open for simulcasting. Philadelphia Park was also forced to cancel Sunday's card, while Charles Town abandoned racing after the first race.
