Winx (Aus) (Street Cry {Ire}), the brilliant first-up winner of the G2 Warwick S. Aug. 20, will make the second start of her much-anticipated spring campaign in Saturday's G2 Chelmsford S. at Randwick. Having drawn the outside barrier eight, she is one of a remarkable six in the lineup for her trainer Chris Waller. John O'Shea and James Cummings are the only other trainers to saddle runners in the mile contest.

The 5-year-old Winx, Australia's highest-rated racehorse, was extending her current win streak to 10 in the Warwick, but raceday rider Hugh Bowman told Racing.com he doesn't get caught up in those numbers.

“To be honest, I don't get too wrapped up in the winning streak,” he said. “That might change when we get to the Cox Plate, but there doesn't feel a lot of pressure going into the weekend because most of our opposition–while they're Group 1 horses–are going to be better over further. At this stage of the preparation, it's just nice to see her get out and perform at a level we know she can.”

Winx is the overwhelming $1.15 favourite with Sportsbet, and is followed in the betting by G1 Champagne S. winner Prized Icon (Aus) (More Than Ready) from the Cummings yard, who is the lone 3-year-old in the field and gets 6 1/2 pounds from Winx. He is at $7.00, while Godolphin's Group 1 winner Hartnell (GB) (Authorized {GB}) is at $11.00.
