After grass racing was suspended this weekend due to jockeys' concerns about the safety of the course, the management of Woodbine Entertainment made the decision to hold all remaining races on the main Tapeta surface. The 14-day forecast for the Toronto area does not indicate an improvement in the weather conditions, which include unseasonably cold temperatures and snow, leading Woodbine's executive team to make the call. Live Thoroughbred racing is scheduled to continue through Sunday, December 16.
