Wuheida (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}) will make her belated seasonal debut in the G1 Tattersalls Falmouth S. at Newmarket on Friday. Last year's winner of the G1 Prix Marcel Boussac is among seven fillies declared for the Group 1 heat over a mile. Trained by Charlie Appleby, she is the mount of William Buick, who does not expect the lack of a run this season to be a disadvantage.
“She's doing well,” Buick told At The Races. “It's a competitive race. If she brings the same form to the table what she did in the Marcel Boussac last year she's got to be right there with the best in that race. It's her first run back. It's a Group 1 obviously, the trip is right and it's only down the road for her. It's the right race. She will do herself justice but you'd imagine she'd improve for it as well.”
Godolphin have a second string to their bow in Arabian Hope (Distorted Humor). Saeed bin Suroor's charge is on the upgrade, having won a maiden, a handicap and a listed contest so far this season. Aidan O'Brien relies on 'TDN Rising Star' Roly Poly (War Front), who was second behind stable companion Winter (Ire) (Galileo {Ire} in both the G1 Irish 1000 Guineas at The Curragh and the G1 Coronation S. at Royal Ascot. Sea Of Grace (Ire) (Born To Sea {Ire}), runner-up in the G1 French 1000 Guineas, will attempt to go one better for Newmarket trainer William Haggas. The field is completed by John Gosden's Greta G (Arg) (Exchange Rate), the Mick Channon-trained Opal Tiara (Ire) (Thousand Words {GB}) and Andreas Wohler's German challenger Delectation (GB) (Delegator {GB}).
