Wuheida Set For Falmouth Return

Last year's G1 Prix Marcel Boussac winner Wuheida (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}), who missed the first part of 2017 after suffering a stress fracture to her right hind leg, is set to return in the July 14 G1 Falmouth S.

“She has done everything that we have asked of her and the Falmouth S. is still there as her target,” said trainer Charlie Appleby. “She came up to the July Course on Thursday for a walk around the paddock. I just wanted to bring her up to get a feel of it all again. She did a nice piece of work the other day and she pleased us with what she did [Saturday] and we are confident she will come forward for that.”

Wuheida is unbeaten in two starts, having broken her maiden at Newmarket in August prior to the Boussac.

“With her it's a case of taking it day by day, but I could not be happier with her at the moment,” Appleby added. “The Falmouth S. will be her starting point and she will be fit enough to run well there.”
