Thai businessman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, the owner of Leicester City Football Club who made a big splash at this year's yearling sale, has entered nine, while Phoenix Thoroughbreds has entered three, including a 1-million gns Sea The Stars (Ire) colt and a $1.1-million War Front colt.

Galileo has the most entries among sires with 46, while his son and fellow Derby winner Australia has 23. Galileo's half-brother Sea The Stars (Ire), also a Derby winner, has 22 entered, while Dubawi (Ire) has 21 and Frankel (GB) 20.

The next entry stage for the Derby is in April 2019, with the supplementary stage on May 27, 2019. There are also two chances to pick up a wildcard entry by winning at Epsom: a conditions race in September 2018 and the Investec Derby Trial in April 2019.
