MGSW millionaire Za Approval (Ghostzapper–Win Approval, by With Approval) has been retired from racing, it was announced Wednesday. A homebred for Charlotte Weber's Live Oak Plantation, the 8-year-old earner of nearly $1.4 million was most recently trained by Mark Casse and was previously conditioned by Christophe Clement, for whom he won three graded stakes and finished second in the GI Woodbine Mile in 2013. The gelding has returned to Live Oak Stud in Ocala, FL, joining MGSW half-brother Revved Up (Sultry Song). “Za Approval is yet another extraordinary member of a family that has been especially gratifying to Live Oak Stud,” said Weber. Za Approval is also a half to 2006 champion grass horse and GI Breeders' Cup mile winner Miesque's Approval (Miesque's Son), as well as this year's GI United Nations S. her World Approval (Northern Afleet).
