The stallion roster at Windsor Park Stud in New Zealand has been strengthened with the addition of both Vanbrugh (Aus) (Encosta De Lago {Aus}-Soho Secret {Aus}, by Lucky Owners {NZ}) and Rageese (Aus) (Street Cry {Ire}-Rabsha {Aus}, by Dehere) who are set to join the stud on the culmination of their racing careers later this year. The Chris Waller trained Vanbrugh will retire a Group 1 winner courtesy of his victory in the G1 Spring Champion S. at Randwick in 2015 but before he begins his new career he will get the opportunity to add another Group 1 to his resume when he tackles the G1 Doomben 10,000 May 27. Rageese is still seeking a win at the highest level though he did come close when dead heating for second behind Pride Of Dubai (Aus) (Street Cry {Ire}) in the G1 Inglis Sires at Randwick in 2015. He too will get the chance to gain a coveted Group 1 win as trainer Darren Weir intends to aim the 4-year-old at the G1 Goodwood H. at Morphettville May 20. Windsor Park also recently announced they will be standing triple Group 1 winner Turn Me Loose (NZ) (Iffraaj {GB}) and stud manager Rodney Schick said, “The important thing with Vanbrugh, Rageese and Turn Me Loose is they have all competed successfully at the highest level in Australia. They are outstanding types with pedigrees to match and now, with the recent announcements around boosted prize-money, Windsor Park are excited to offer breeders three new high class stallion prospects.”
