Hip 363, a weanling colt by this year's KEENOV star sire Kingmambo, was purchased by Hugo Lascelles, agent, in utero for $2.8 million at the 2006 KEENOV sale. In the ring on his own two feet this time, the dark bay drew a final bid of $950,000 from John Ferguson. He is out of a full sister to champion Quarter Moon (Ire) and Classic winner Yesterday (Ire). The five mares in foal to Kingmambo sold Monday all brought at least $1 million, and averaged $2,140,000.
