2.30 Saint-Cloud, Mdn, €25,000, 3yo, f, 10fT
MAHATI (FR) (Montjeu {Ire}) represents Elisabeth and Andre Fabre as she is introduced in this intriguing maiden and is the latest progeny out of the smart producer Minaccia (Ger) (Platini {Ger}), responsible for a clutch of black-type performers including a GSW full-brother to this newcomer in Montclair (Ire) and the MGSW & G1SP Macleya (Ger) (Winged Love {Ire}). One who has the experience of a racecourse outing is His Highness The Aga Khan's Beshara (Fr) (Cape Cross {Ire}), an Alain de Royer-Dupre-trained daughter of the G2 Prix Chaudenay winner and G1 Prix Royal-Oak runner-up Behkara (Ire) (Kris {GB}) and therefore a full-sister to the 2010 G1 Grand Prix de Paris hero Behkabad (Fr) (Cape Cross {Ire}) who was seventh on debut here in October.

5.35 The Curragh, Mdn, €15,000, 3yo, 10fT
US ARMY RANGER (IRE) (Galileo {Ire}) is a Ballydoyle newcomer with real gravitas, being out of the 2008 G1 Irish Oaks heroine Moonstone (GB) (Dalakhani {Ire}) who has already produced a trio of black-type winners in Nevis (Ire) (Dansili {GB}), Stubbs (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}) and Words (Ire) (Dansili {GB}). Coming up from Rosegreen with him is the €1.5-million GOFORB purchase The Major General (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), Susan Magnier, Michael Tabor, Derrick Smith, Bernard Kantor and Markus Jooste's full-brother to Jim Bolger's triumvirate of group 1 fillies Cuis Ghaire (Ire), Gile Na Greine (Ire) and Scintillula (Ire) who was a disappointing seventh on his first outing at Leopardstown in October, while Dermot Weld unleashes a fascinating debutant in Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum's Aasheq (Ire)  (Dubawi {Ire}), a son of the 2009 G1 Pretty Polly S. runner-up Beach Bunny (Ire) (High Chaparral {Ire}), who has already produced two smart sprinters in Naadirr (Ire) (Oasis Dream {GB}) and Beach Belle (GB) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}).
