Ageless to Pre-Enter in Turf Sprint

Lael Stables’ Ageless (Successful Appeal), who suffered a gash below her left hock while winning the Oct. 9 Buffalo Trace Franklin County S., is expected to return to trainer Arnaud Delacour’s barn Monday. The 6-year-old mare has been receiving treatment at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute. Connections plan on entering Ageless in the GI Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint, but acknowledge her participation in the race is a longshot. “We will pre-enter to keep our options open,” Delacour said. “[Running in the race] is highly unlikely unless a miracle happens, but I talked with the Breeders’ Cup people and if you can’t run for medical reasons, you get your money back.”
