Arthur Hancock

Arthur Hancock is the owner of Stone Farm in Paris, Kentucky. A member of one of the pre- eminent American horse racing families, Hancock is the grandson of Arthur B. Hancock (1875–1957), the founder of Claiborne Farm, and the son of Arthur B. "Bull " Hancock, Jr. (1910–1972), who expanded the business to make it one of the most important breeding farms of the 20th century. After graduating from Vanderbilt University, Hancock moved to NYC where he worked as an apprentice under Eddie Neloy. Hancock built Stone Farm into a successful breeding and racing operation which earned the family its first Kentucky Derby winner. A Member of The Jockey Club, Hancock is also a founding member of the Water Hay Oats Alliance.
