Gregory L. Ferraro DVM

Gregory L. Ferraro, DVM earned his D.V.M from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1971. In 1976 Ferraro took the lead in the establishment of the Southern California Equine Foundation. The foundation, in partnership with the Dolly Green Research Foundation in Arcadia, California, revolutionized equine racetrack practice by building an on-site hospital facility to protect and advance the welfare of horses. In 2001 he was appointed by the governor to the California State Veterinary Medical Board. In 1998, Dr. Ferraro accepted the position as Director of the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine's Center for Equine Health. He remained in that position until his retirement in 2014.
