Tim Capps
Tim Capps joined the faculty of the University of Louisville College of Business in January, 2007, as part of the Equine Studies Program. Capps is the former Executive Vice President of the Maryland Jockey Club, and has also served as Executive Vice President of the Maryland Horse Breeders Association, Editor and Publisher of the Thoroughbred Record, Vice President of Matchmaker Racing Services, and Director of Operations for the Jockey Club. He spent several years in the financial community in New York as a broker, analyst, and money manager, and worked as an analyst in the Office of the Secretary of Defense and at the federal Office of Management and Budget. He served as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army, completing Airborne, Ranger and Special Forces training, and served 19 months in the Republic of Vietnam.
