Tattersalls have released the catalogue for next months July Sale which takes place in Newmarket July 8-10 inclusive. The catalogue which can be viewed on-line at www.tattersalls.com and will be published Monday June 15 is the largest since 2010, comprising of more than 650 horses and fillies in/out of training and 150 broodmares. As usual significant drafts will be on offer from some of the world's leading owner breeders including the Aga Khan Studs, Cheveley Park Stud, Darley, Juddmonte Farms, Moyglare Stud and Shadwell Estates. A multitude of broodmare gems have been unearthed at this sale in recent years including the dams of G1 Australian Cup winner Spillway (GB) (Rail Link {GB}) and G1 Manhattan H. winner Slumber (GB) (Cacique {Ire}). Potential stars in next month's broodmare section could include lot 187 the multiple Listed winner Along Came Casey (Ire) (Oratorio [Ire}) offered by The Castlebridge Consignment in foal to leading young sire Lope De Vega (Ire) (Shamarda) and lot 101 Riskit Fora Biskit (Ire) (Kodiac {GB}), winner of a Listed race in Deauville and in foal to Dark Angel (Ire) (Acclamation {GB}). Further international flavor is added by lot 146 Energia Elegante (Brz) (Agnes Gold {Jpn})a Group 2 winner in Brazil and offered in foal on southern hemisphere time to G1 Epsom Derby winner Sir Percy (GB).
Another feature of the broodmare section is the number of mares being offered in foal to exciting young sires who have yet to have a runner. This list includes such recent Group 1 winners as Casamento (Ire) (Shamardal), Dawn Approach (Ire) (New Approach (Ire}), Nathaniel (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), Sea The Moon (Ger) (Sea The Stars {Ire}), War Command (War Front), Slade Power (Ire) (Dutch Art {GB}), Lethal Force (Ire) (Dark Angel {Ire}) and Society Rock (Ire) (Rock Of Gibraltar {Ire}). Buyers looking for quality horses in training are equally well catered for with Group and Listed winners from Britain, Dubai, France, Ireland, Italy and also Brazil, amongst the lots which look set to attract the usual global cast of buyers.
