The Fasig-Tipton July Sale, which will be held Thursday, July 9, will see the yearlings sales debut from 22 freshman sires. Fasig-Tipton President Boyd Browning is pleased with the variety of freshmen stallions represented at the auction and believes this crop of yearlings should do well in the ring.
“We've got a very nice group of stallions represented with the first crop of yearlings,” Browning said. “We saw a lot of very good physicals, which is a trademark of the July sale. Those horses by first-crop stallions are in the sale because of their conformation and pedigree, not because they're by first-crop stallions. We don't try to lower the bar or give them any 'advantage' in entering the sale. If they're in the catalogue and on the sales grounds it's because they're good horses and we're trying to have them represented.”
