One of Ireland's most popular and most successful sprinters of this century Sole Power (GB) (Kyllachy {GB}) will make his fourth appearance at Hong Kong's International meeting at Sha Tin when he lines up for the G1 Longines Hong Kong Sprint Dec. 13. For his latest jockey Chris Hayes it is an opportunity he is relishing and although the horse is in the twilight of his career Hayes feels he still has what it takes to be successful at the highest level. Speaking to the Racing Post Hayes commented, “I'm looking forward to getting on him and hopefully keeping the ride so we can do something in Dubai in the new year as well. His form does say he's better over five furlongs, but he was second in Hong Kong under Johnny Murtagh and it might have even been a career-best. There's nothing to say he won't run well again and Eddie [Lynam] knows him inside out and will be sending him out in the best condition he can.” Chris Hayes will be having his third ride on Sole Power having gotten the partnership off to the best start when winning the G2 Derrinstown Stud Flying Five S. at The Curragh in September.
