Super Majesty (Super Saver) makes her highly anticipated stakes debut in Saturday evening’s GIII Dogwood S. at Churchill Downs. Tabbed as a ‘TDN Rising Star’ after posting a 6 1/4-length debut win at Santa Anita May 24, the LNJ Foxwoods colorbearer beat up on optional claimers by 15 1/4 lengths at Los Alamitos July 5, covering six furlongs in a snappy 1:08 1/5. The bay suffered her first career defeat when stretched to a mile and two turns for the first time, finishing a game second, beaten only a nose, in a $62,500 optional tagger at Del Mar Aug. 23. The $400,000 FTFMAR purchase fired a five-furlong bullet in :59 2/5 (1/44) at Santa Anita Sept. 14. She has been installed as the 5-2 morning-line favorite in the Dogwood.

Claiborne Farm and Adele Dilschneider homebred Chide (Blame), an allowance winner going two turns beneath the Twin Spires May 31, cuts back in distance and adds blinkers here. A good third in the GI Mother Goose S. at Belmont June 27, she was last seen finishing a flat fifth in the GI Coaching Club American Oaks at Saratoga July 26.

“We just want to shorten her up,” trainer Al Stall Jr. said. “Her mother [Yell] was much more effective around one turn and we tried nine furlongs on two turns around Saratoga and she was kind of even around there. She ran a pretty good race around one turn at Belmont in the Mother Goose.”

The remarkably consistent Huasca (Tiz Wonderful), boasting a record of 12-4-6-1, enters off a win in Gulfstream’s Uanme S. Sept. 6. She has also placed second in this term’s GIII Adena Springs Miss Preakness S. at Pimlico May 15 and GIII Azalea S. in Hallandale July 5, respectively.
