Lady Cecil To Retire From Training

The 2015 flat season will herald the end of an era at the historic and famed Warren Place Stables in Newmarket as Lady Cecil has announced her intention to retire from training this year. The widow of the late Sir Henry Cecil capped a fantastic 2014 when registering three Group 1 wins with Frankel’s brother Noble Mission (GB) (Galileo {Ire}) and following recent speculation that Warren Place was for sale Lady Cecil announced on Wednesday, “I confirm that at the end of the Flat season, I will stop training. Until then, the team and I will continue to work hard to achieve as much as we can with the horses. Training, for me, has always been about working with the horses and the team here at Warren Place. That has been a major factor in why I have continued since Henry died two years ago.” Lady Cecil continued,”I would like to thank my owners for their much appreciated on-going support. They have been fantastic over the last two years and I can’t thank them enough for their understanding and help.” It is believed that Sheikh Mohammed is in the process of purchasing Warren Place.
