+WAVE OF GLORY (f, 2, Midshipman–Il Vino Bianco, by Honour and Glory) fired a five-furlong bullet (1/10) in 1:00.85 up at the Spa Sept. 6 and was tabbed a 2-1 chance for this off-turf debut. Away from the gate without incident, the homebred raced three deep in a third turning for home through a half-mile over the muddy track in :46.60. Jose Lezcano angled the filly to the four path turning for home and the grey swooped on softened up leader Lewis Bay (Bernardini) inside the final furlong to score by a half-length. The homebred winner has a weanling full-brother. She hails from the extended family of GISW Discreet Marq (Discreet Cat) and recent Schenectady S.-winning juvenile Too Discreet (Discreet Cat), both of whom have also carried the silks of Patricia Generazio. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $45,000. Click for the Equibase.com chart or VIDEO, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
