Moore Back In The Saddle

Champion jockey Ryan Moore, who has been on the sidelines since suffering a neck injury in a starting gate incident in early July, was back in the saddle for the first time since Wednesday to partner multiple Group 1 winner Integral (GB) (Dalakhani {Ire}) in a work at Newmarket.
“I didn’t see the work, but I believe Ryan was back,” said Chris Richardson, managing director of Integral’s owners Cheveley Park Stud. Richardson added that Integral is being prepared for the G1 Sun Chariot S. at Newmarket Oct. 3, which she won last year. The 5-year-old mare has been winless in three outings this year.
“The Sun Chariot is the plan, all being well,” Richardson said. “That’s been her target since her last run [a fifth in the G2 Duke of Cambridge S. at Royal Ascot June 17]. We had a bit of an issue with a shoe and other niggly foot problems, which have just taken time to get sorted out. We are OK again now and the filly is obviously back in good form.”
