Placed In Trust

After the immense promise of her debut win over seven furlongs at Kempton Sept. 21, Cheveley Park Stud’s Queen’s Trust (GB) (Dansili {GB}) bids to justify ‘TDN Rising Star’ status in Friday’s G3 Vision Oh So Sharp S. at Newmarket.

One of two from the Sir Michael Stoute stable alongside The Queen’s course-and-distance maiden winner Diploma (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}), the homebred looked a potential class act on the Polytrack and is one of a clutch of unexposed fillies to excite in their maidens.

They also include Godolphin’s First Victory (Ire) (Teofilo {Ire}), a half-sister to Ihtimal (Ire) (Shamardal) who beat experienced rivals over this track and trip Sept. 26, and Salem Rashid’s Aljuljalah (Exchange Rate). The latter was also making her racecourse bow when winning the second division of that maiden for the Roger Varian stable and her trainer said, “Aljuljalah had been working well prior to her debut win and I have been pleased with her since. It is a step up in grade, but she is a filly we have always liked and we feel she deserves to take her chance at this level.”

Interestingly, Kirsten Rausing’s Alamode (GB) (Sir Percy {GB}) had the subsequent G2 Rockfel S. winner Promising Run (Hard Spun) back in third when graduating over six furlongs at Goodwood last time July 29 and is bred to appreciate this extra distance.

“The form of her Goodwood race has worked out quite well and from an owner-breeder’s point of view we didn’t see much point in running in a conditions race, so we’ve just been waiting with her since really,” trainer Marcus Tregoning explained. “This is only her third run, so hopefully she’ll improve and if she could get some black-type it would be fantastic. She’ll go on any ground and the breeding on her dam’s side suggests she should get the extra furlong. Hopefully she’ll show up and run extremely well. She’s in good form and has certainly been working well.”
