Last year's G2 Prix Robert Papin winner Green Sense features among 16 initial entries for the Goffs London Sale, held in association with ULYSSIA and Fitzwilliam Sports, which will take place at Kensington Palace Gardens on the eve of Royal Ascot (Monday, June 15).

Starman filly Green Sense, who also finished third in the G1 Phoenix Stakes as a two-year-old, holds a choice of engagements at Royal Ascot. The Joseph O'Brien trainee is entered in the G1 Coronation Stakes and also has the option of the G3 Jersey Stakes.

Another potential highlight is Bamako Beach (Sands Of Mali), who possesses an official rating of 102 after his seventh-place finish in the Irish 2,000 Guineas, while German Classic form is represented in the catalogue by Asker (Aclaim) and Sky Watch (Starman). The Henk Grewe-trained Asker was last seen finishing a close-up fifth in the G2 German 2,000 Guineas, while Sky Watch, a stablemate of Bamako Beach at Michael O'Callaghan's yard, was third in the G2 German 1,000 Guineas.

Noel Meade will offer the progressive Bobby McGee (Mayson), who is rated 93 after winning his last three starts, including the competitive Blackwater Handicap at Naas. He is likely to target the Britannia Handicap at Royal Ascot, which is also a potential destination for Clive Cox's Blue Courvoisier (Sea The Stars), who was last seen winning the valuable Silver Bowl Handicap at Carlisle.

Irish-trained juveniles are strongly represented by Your Song (Coulsty), who defeated two previous winners when scoring at Naas, and Immortal Guard (Persian Force), who followed a debut success at the Curragh with a creditable third in the G3 Marble Hill Stakes.

The two-year-old contingent also includes the blue-blooded Thirsk scorer Alfred Wallace, a son of Dubawi and the G1 Falmouth Stakes heroine Snow Lantern (Frankel), plus the wide-margin maiden/novice winners Green Sovereign (Lope Y Fernandez) and Ronson (Ubettabelieveit). The latter followed his five-length victory at Beverley with a runner-up finish in the Beverley Two-Year-Old Trophy EBF Conditions Stakes over the same course and distance.

Henry Beeby, Goffs Group chief executive, said, “The London Sale has established itself as one of the most unique auctions anywhere in the world and these entries once again underline its international appeal. To offer horses with Royal Ascot aspirations alongside proven Group performers and progressive international prospects creates a catalogue unlike any other.

“The quality and diversity of entries is particularly pleasing, with strong representation from Britain, Ireland and Germany and a number of exciting young horses whose best days may still lie ahead. We will take entries up to the day of sale and so would welcome any enquiries, although, as ever, we have worked to maintain a very high quality which has resulted in a truly select catalogue.

“We look forward to welcoming buyers and guests from around the world to Kensington Palace Gardens, alongside our title partners ULYSSIA and Fitzwilliam Sports, as we once again open Royal Ascot week in style.”

Further entries will be announced in the coming days, with the full catalogue, race videos, conformation footage and Royal Ascot targets available on the Goffs website ahead of the sale.
