Beauty Parlour's potential was such that her morning odds were more than halved before this debut, and her plethora of admirers were not disappointed as she left an indelible mark on this juvenile distaffers' event. She was swiftly into stride and occupied the catbird seat behind the pacesetting Nimbus Star (GB) (Nayef) until turning for home. Easing upsides that rival on the bridle with 500 meters remaining, the bay homebred took a slender advantage passing the quarter-mile marker and exploded clear under minimal urging from the one-furlong pole to score by a hugely impressive eight lengths as the 9-5 favorite. “Beauty Parlour is a filly who I like a lot, she's always worked nicely and I expected a good performance today,” commented trainer Elie Lellouche. “She will probably run once more this season, perhaps in a conditions race or a listed race. I am not too keen to take her to a race like the [Oct. 18 G3] Prix des Reservoirs [at Deauville] at this stage.” Beauty Parlour is a full-sister to Barocci (Jpn), SW-Fr. Her dam, a half-sister to Australian standout Might and Power (NZ) (Zabeel {NZ}), has a Zamindar yearling colt and a Peintre Celebre filly that was foaled in April. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, €12,000.
