Cavorting ran to her odds as the even-money favorite in this field, which was scratched down to four by post time. Away quickest of all, the $360,000 KEENOV weanling purchase glided along the rail while clocking a speedy first quarter in :22.14 and a half in :45.82. Never pressured, the bay cruised clear in the lane under a hand ride by Irad Ortiz Jr. to win by an effortless 11 lengths. Second choice Sweet Maya (Malibu Moon) was the runner-up. The winner's dam–who was also a debut winning juvenile and heroine of the 2006 GII Molly Pitcher S.–was purchased for $1.125 million by the Thoroughbred Advisory Group as a horse of racing age at the 2007 Keeneland November sale. Promenade Girl was later snapped up by Chris McCormack for $335,000 while in foal to War Front at the same sale in 2012. Her mating to War Front resulted in a filly and she produced a colt by Stay Thirsty earlier this year. Cavorting also hails from the family of GISWs Another Review (Buckaroo) and No Review (Nodouble); MGSW & MGISP Dance Colony (Pleasant Colony); and MGSW Blueskiesnrainbows (English Channel). Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $45,000.
