High Celebrity was well away from the gate to assert to the lead after the early exchanges of this unveiling. Maintaining control under a tight hold thereafter, the 9-10 favorite cruised clear inside the final quarter mile and was geared right down by Maxime Guyon in the closing stages to score by a hugely impressive two lengths from a completely outclassed Sleekfonteine (Fr) (Slickly {Fr}). “We have always liked her and she has been training very well at home, but until they run you can never be sure,” commented racing manager Laurent Benoit. “She won in very good style and we're absolutely delighted that she confirmed what she has showed us in the mornings.
