2st Dam: Good Intentions

Lovely Lil was let go at 5-1 in her debut, but looked like a 1-5 shot at the wire. Quickly into stride, the May foal pressed the pace from second. She was in hand as she went to the front on the far turn and, responding to a vigorous Alan Garcia hand ride, powered away to an eyecatching seven-length success. The final time was just three ticks off the track record. By M K (Chapel Royal) picked up the pieces for second. The winner is a 1/2 to War Paint (Devil's Bag), MSP, $265,881; and Sweet Sweet (Honour and Glory), MSW, $191,341. Her dam captured the 1996 GII Schuylerville S.; it is also the family of GII Alfred G. Vanderbilt H. hero Abraaj (Carson City) and GSW Leelanau (Carson City). Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $29,040.
