1st Dam: Regal Rose (GB)
2st Dam: Ruthless Rose
2st Dam: Unfurled
Owner: Cheveley Park Stud
Breeder: Cheveley Park Stud
Trainer: Sir Michael Stoute
Regal Royale was confidently supported into 9-2 for his debut and rewarded punters with a demonstration of raw power in recording an impressive pillar-to-post win. Quickly into stride, the bay homebred enjoyed a slender advantage until beyond halfway and was readied for his main effort inside the quarter pole. He settled the contest in a matter of strides with a burst of acceleration approaching the final furlong and maintained a true course to the wire, gearing down to allow Doctor Dash (GB) (Dr Fong) within two lengths. “He did it really well, he traveled well until two out and after that he never looked in any danger,” Sir Michael Stoute told PA Sport, adding, “We have always liked him and he's a very handsome colt. It's early days, but we couldn't have started any better.” He becomes the fifth winner for his freshman sire (by Machiavellian). Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, £7,085.
