Rosanara, from the first France-based crop of her sire (by Grand Lodge), was allowed off at 47-10, but ultimately made those odds look huge with an impressive debut success. Moving smoothly into second after the initial strides, the grey homebred stalked the pace throughout. Looming large off the home turn, she was coaxed to the front approaching the final furlong and quickened clear in good style thereafter to easily account for pacesetter Aruna (Mr. Greeley) by four lengths. “She belongs to the first French crop of Sinndar and we thought that the Sinndar-Linamix cross could be successful,” explained His Highness The Aga Khan's racing manager Georges Rimaud. “It's too early to say it's successful yet, but it was obviously satisfying to see Rosanara win in such good style. She is entered in the G1 Prix Marcel Boussac [at Longchamp Oct. 4], so we'll think about that as an option.” Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, €12,000.
