April 22, 2013 - LONGCHAMP, Race , Cond, EUR €34,000, 1m, 12.45

1st Dam: Sichilla (Ire)
2st Dam: Slipstream Queen
2st Dam: Country Queen

Owner: His Highness The Aga Khan
Breeder: His Highness The Aga Khan's Studs SC
Trainer: Alain de Royer-Dupre

Pitched in against proven performers here, Siyenica proved more than up to the task with her impressive turn of acceleration providing her with the perfect start to her career. Rank early anchored in last by Christophe-Patrice Lemaire, the 13-5 second favorite was delivered wide in the stretch and, after gaining the lead passing the furlong pole, maintained her momentum to subdue Tharsis (Ire) (Gold Away {Ire}) and score by a half length. Thawaany (Ire) (Tamayuz {GB}) was 3/4 of a length away in third. “She’s one of the good fillies in the yard and has the breeding and a turn of foot,” trainer Alain de Royer-Dupre commented. “I don’t usually run them first time in a ‘B’ race against experienced horses unless I am sure of their quality and this one has plenty.” The winner is a half-sister to fellow Aga Khan colorbearers Siyouni (Fr) (Pivotal {GB}), G1SW-Fr, $657,460; and Siyouma (Ire) (Medicean {GB}), G1SW-Eng, GISW-NA, $861,535. Lifetime Record: 1 start, 1 win, €17,000.
