Michael Tabor's Star Seeking (Ire) (Gleneagles {Ire}) played the diva role during an elaborate loading process for Monday's British Stallion Studs EBF Fillies' Novice S. at Leicester and justified joint-favouritism with an impressive perfomance in the straight seven-furlong test to earn 'TDN Rising Star' status on debut. Boxed up separately to rider William Buick, the 3-1 chance was a keen fifth through the early strides until settling into a smooth rhythm behind the leaders. Inching closer once beyond halfway, she seized control approaching the final furlong and quickened clear in impressive fashion before being heavily eased to score by a length from 3-1 market rival Famille Rose (Fr) (Shalaa {Ire}), the pair six lengths clear of the remainder.
Star Seeking is the seventh of nine foals, all fillies, and second winner produced by Saturn Girl (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}), who was led out unsold at EUR19,000 at Goffs' 2018 November Mares sale. The May-foaled chestnut's siblings include the maiden Grenadines (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}), herself the dam of Chilean stakes winner and G2 Copa de Oro Maria Luisa Solari third Million (Chi) (Scat Daddy). Saturn Girl is a winning half-sister to three-time stakes scorer and G1 Tattersalls Gold Cup runner-up Livadiya (Ire) (Shernazar {Ire}), G3 Prix Vanteaux third Liska (Ire) (Bigstone {Ire}) and three-time winner Lidakiya (Ire) (Kahyasi {Ire}). Descendants of the latter include MG1SW sire Linngari (Ire) (Indian Ridge {Ire}), G1 Grand Prix de Paris hero Mont Ormel (Fr) (Air Chief Marshal {Ire}) and this term's G2 King Edward VII S. and G2 Great Voltigeur S. victor Pyledriver (GB) (Harbour Watch {Ire}).
