Taylor S remained perfect in two tries at sprint distances and outside of stakes competition with a romping 6 1/4-length allowance victory Saturday at Churchill, a performance which earns the well-related filly a TDN Rising Star. The homebred, a daughter of this track's GIII Winning Colors S. victress and $880,000 earner Miss Macy Sue, was forced to cope with the 11 hole for her Sept. 14 debut over this track and missed the break, but sprinted up to head off her rivals and never looked back, scoring by 3 3/4 lengths. Thrown to the wolves in Keeneland's GI Darley Alcibiades S. Oct. 3, Taylor S was never involved in finishing 10th to Peace and War (War Front), but gave a decent account of herself last time out, setting a searching pace before finishing third to GII Golden Rod S. competitors West Coast Belle (Tapit) and Simply Confection (Candy Ride {Arg}) in the one-mile Rags to Riches S. here Oct. 26. Sent off the 6-5 favorite with a cutback to three-quarters of a mile for this, Taylor S was soon in front and skipped along easily on the engine. Well in the hands of Corey Lanerie through a half-mile in :45.33, she swapped leads on cue in upper stretch and powered home to win comfortably. I'm A Looker (Henny Hughes), four wide the trip, stayed on well to complete the exacta. Taylor S is a half-sister to fellow TDN Rising Star Liam's Map (Unbridled's Song), the $800,000 Keeneland September yearling purchase, who has won his last two starts in New York by a combined 21 lengths. Lifetime Record: SP, 4-2-0-1, $55,149.
