Tiz Terrific, a first-up second at Keeneland last time Apr. 9, broke sharply and soon enjoyed a clear lead in this European bow. Coaxed along after halfway, the 2-1 second choice maintained daylight under whipless urging in the closing stages to easily dispose of Pearl of Grace (Fr) (Tiger Hill {Ire}) by 2 1/2 lengths. “Tiz Terrific is my first runner in France,” stated trainer Wesley Ward. “She only arrived on Wednesday and has settled in very well. Longchamp is such a prestigious and historic track, and to actually come over here and win is an unbelievable feeling. She's a very competitive filly, but she sometimes waits on something to come to her. We'll see how she comes out of the race, but, hopefully, she'll get to Royal Ascot in good order for the [G2] Queen Mary [S. June 15].” Tiz Terrific was produced by an unraced half-sister to GI Kentucky Oaks heroine Summerly (Summer Squall), who was bred by two-thirds of this filly's breeding partnership, Tom Van Meter and Michael Lowenbaum. Sales history: $100,000 RNA yrl '10 KEESEP. Lifetime Record: 2-1-1-0, €19,484.
