1st Dam: Infallible (GB)
2st Dam: Irresistible (GB)
2st Dam: Polish Romance

Owner: Cheveley Park Stud
Breeder: Cheveley Park Stud (GB0
Trainer: Sir Michael Stoute

Sir Michael Stoute chose to introduce Veracious in the seven-furlong conditions event at Newbury Sept. 22 which has played host to some of the stable’s decent fillies and acquitted herself with credit on ground softer than ideal when third. Breaking professionally to race close to Godolphin’s Winter Lightning (Ire) (Shamardal) throughout the early stages, the 3-1 chance began to assert from the two-furlong pole. Drawing away powerfully up the rising ground, the homebred scored by four lengths from that well-touted rival. The winner is a half-sister to the dual G2 Summer Mile winner and G1 Queen Anne S., G1 Juddmonte International S. and GI Woodbine Mile-placed Mutakayyef (GB) (Sea the Stars {Ire}), MGSW & MG1SP-Eng, GISP-Can, $940,999, and to her SW & MGSP stablemate Intimation (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}), SW & MGSP-Ire, Sp-Eng. The dam Infallible, who also has a colt by Sea the Stars (Ire) named Sea Wings (GB) and a colt foal by Golden Horn (GB), captured the G3 Nell Gwyn S. and was runner-up in the G1 Coronation S. and G1 Falmouth S. The second dam is the listed-winning and group-placed sprinter Irresistible, who also produced the listed scorer Remarkable (GB) (Pivotal {GB}) and fellow black-type speed merchant Watchable (GB) also by Pivotal. She is also the second dam of the G1 Prix Maurice de Gheest and G2 Lennox S. hero Garswood (GB) (Dutch Art {GB}) whose half-sister by Galileo (Ire) sold for 1.6million at Tattersalls last week. Lifetime Record: 2-1-0-1, £8,007.
