Sent off the 7-2 favourite in this intriguing affair, With You who is a full-sister to the same connections’ 2014 G1 Prix de l’Opera heroine We Are (Ire) broke well and tanked her way towards the fore. Always travelling strongly a length off the pace, the bay found herself in front 500 metres out and surged clear to win, eased down, by six lengths from Octeville (Ire) (Le Havre {Ire}). We Are, who also placed in the 2015 renewal of the G1 Prix de l’Opera and that year’s G1 Prix Jean Romanet, G1SW-Fr, $437,651, is one of three black-type performers out of the G3 Prix de Flore winner In Clover. The others are Dream Clover (GB) (Oasis Dream {GB}), MSW & GSP-Fr, $163,406, and that smart runner’s listed-winning full-sister Incahoots (GB). In Clover, whose 3-year-old colt Call the Wind (GB) (Frankel {GB}) is near his racecourse introduction for the same stable and who also has a yearling full-sister and foal half-brother to the winner and We Are, is one of four who acquired black-type out of the G3 Prix de Royaumont scorer Bellarida. Her descendants to make a mark on the international stage include the G1 Hong Kong Vase-winning champion stayer Dominant (Ire) (Cacique {Ire}), his G2 Lennox S.-winning half-brother Es Que Love (Ire) (Clodovil {Ire}) and his listed-winning half-sister Listen in (Ire) (Sea the Stars {Ire}) who wasplaced three times this year in pattern races for these connections including when runner-up in the G2 Prix de Malleret. Others to feature are the Australian group winners Adjusted (Ire) (Montjeu {Ire}) and Observational (GB) (Galileo {Ire}) and the G3 Chartwell Fillies’ S. scorer and G1 Matron S. runner-up Lily’s Angel (Ire) (Dark Angel {Ire}) and her half-sister Zurigha (Ire) (Cape Cross {Ire}) who placed in Dubai’s G2 Cape Verdi and G2 Balanchine. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, €13,500.
