Seeking the Gold had seven juveniles go through the ring in 2008 and, as a $575,000 FTFFEB purchase, this filly was by far the most expensive of the six that sold. The bay RNA'd as a $340,000 KEENOV weanling and a $140,000 KEESEP yearling, but dashed off a furlong in :10 flat at the Fasig-Tipton Calder under-tack show and found a new home. She was the 3-5 chalk in her debut. Steadied at the start, Zoi Zoi was at the back of the pack early, but sailed past the field while racing four wide. She had a head in front after a half in :46.35 and was kept to the task by jockey Chris DeCarlo to win by an impressive eight lengths. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $11,199.
