Sweet Idea Supplemented to Millions

Recently retired G1 Galaxy S. winner Sweet Idea (Aus) (Snitzel {Aus}–Flidais {Aus}, by Timber Country) has been supplemented to the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale the sales company announced Tuesday. The chestnut, who raced for a partnership, racked up four Group 2 victories in addition to her Galaxy score for the barn of trainer Gai Waterhouse and was retired due to a tendon injury earlier this month. Sweet Idea will be consigned by Widden Stud as part of the supplementary entries to the sale which lasts from May 27-31. Originally purchased for A$240,000 at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, Sweet Idea is out of the GSP Timber Country mare Flidais (Aus).

“It is great to have Sweet Idea returning to the Gold Coast to go under the hammer at the Southern Hemisphere’s number one breeding stock sale,” Magic Millions Managing Director Vin Cox noted. “During her outstanding career Sweet Idea was always up for a challenge–running against the best during her entire career–from the Magic Millions 2-year-old Classic and [G1] Golden Slipper at two, right up to her last start and a fantastic win in the Galaxy.”

Concerning the quality on offer for the Magic Millions National Sale, Cox commented, “We are delighted with the quality of the catalogues for all of the sections of the National Sale–from the weanlings to racehorses and broodmares and race fillies to an outstanding line up of yearlings.”
