SYNCHRONY (c, 2, Tapit–Brownie Points {GSW, $951,230}, by Forest Wildcat) rallied five wide and closed late to be second in his six-furlong unveiling at Churchill Downs Sept. 12. The chestnut colt stalked the pace while three wide through fractions of :23.05 and :46.35. Four wide into the stretch, he took charge with just over a furlong to run and strode clear to win by 3 3/4 lengths at 7-2. Favored Silvertown (Speightstown) was second best. A homebred for Pin Oak, the winner’s dam Brownie Points won the 2008 GIII Ouija Board Distaff H. The mare produced a filly by Broken Vow in 2014 and was bred to Candy Ride (Arg) this year.
