Officials at Tattersalls have announced that a total of 1,677 lots have been catalogued for its Autumn Horses in Training Sale scheduled for Monday through Thursday, Oct. 26-29. The largest sale of its kind in the world, the event features over 100 group/listed stakes winners, including Lucky Speed (Ire) (Silvano {Ger}), the 2013 G1 Deutsches Derby hero who landed this year’s GIII American St. Leger at Arlington Park; G2 Doncaster Cup hero Pallasator (GB) (Motivator {GB}); and the promising 2-year-old Final Frontier (Ire) (Dream Ahead {GB}), winner of the G3 Anglesey S. at The Curragh in August.
Jamie Railton brings the largest consignment to the sale, with 95 horses in the catalogue, while the largest draft from a trainer comes from Richard Hannon, who will consign 86 runners under his East Everleigh Stables banner, including Shifting Power (GB) (Compton Place {GB}), runner-up to Kingman (GB) (Invincible Spirit {Ire}) in last year’s G1 Irish 2000 Guineas who has amassed better than $370,000 in winning four races to date.
“Unique is the word that springs to mind when thoughts turn to the Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale,” commented Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony. “There is no sale quite like it anywhere else and this year’s catalogue matches quantity with quality. The key to the Autumn Horses in Training Sale is that there will be a horse to suit pretty well every possible requirement for every corner of the globe, and we look forward to welcoming the usual diverse cross section of buyers.”
