Belying those odds by traveling easily throughout on the heels of the leaders on the far side, the homebred was asked to quicken running down into the "dip" by Martin Dwyer and responded instantly to reel in the long-time leader Scorn and assert under hand riding for a convincing 1 1/2-length success. The winner hails from the distinguished Weinstock family of Islington (Ire) and Greek Dance (Ire).
