Verrazano To Shuttle to Australia
Dual Grade I winner Verrazano (More Than Ready), who is currently covering his first book at Coolmore’s Ashford Stud in Kentucky, will be an addition to Coolmore’s Australian roster later this year, where he will stand for A$13,750. In addition to his American exploits, Verrazano was twice placed in Group 1 company in Britain last year, including a second in the G1 Queen Anne S. at Royal Ascot.
Coolmore Australia will also add ‘TDN Rising Star’ and dual group winner Rubick (Aus) (Encosta de Lago {Aus}) to its roster this year, and Holy Roman Emperor (Ire) (Danehill), sire of recent G1 Australian Derby victor Mongolian Khan (NZ), returns Down Under after a five-year hiatus with a A$22,000 pricetag. Dual Derby winner Camelot (GB) (Montjeu {Ire}), who stood for A$22,000 at Coolmore Australia last year, is absent from this year’s roster.
