Which Turf Filly Will Have the ‘Edge’

Ten Broeck Farm’s Sunset Glow (Exchange Rate) will look to hog the spotlight in the GIII Edgewood S. under the Twin Spires. Second in last June’s G3 Albany S. at Royal Ascot, the Wesley Warned-trained miss ran away with Del Mar’s GII Sorrento S. Aug. 6 and showed a new dimension to take the GI Del Mar Debutante S. 24 days later from off the pace. She set a very quick pace and held second to Lady Eli (Divine Park) in the GI Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf at Santa Anita Oct. 31, and ran into that formidable foe once again when third on seasonal debut in Keeneland’s GIII Appalachian S. Apr. 12.

Tenth in the Juvenile Fillies Turf was Quality Rocks (Rock Hard Ten). The Bill Mott pupil completed the exacta in Gulfstream’s GIII Sweetest Chant S. Jan. 24, and earned her first graded victory over next-out stakes winner Consumer Credit (More Than Ready) and GI Kentucky Oaks contender Include Betty (Include) in Tampa’s GIII Florida Oaks Mar. 7.

Graham Motion is particularly deadly with European imports in graded stakes–just see 2014 dual Eclipse winner Main Sequence (Aldebaran)–and he’ll saddle Town and Coutry Farms Corp.’s My Year Is a Day (Fr) (King’s Best). Off the board just once from seven tries in France for Jean-Claude Rouget and owner Daniel-Yves Treves, the bay filly was last seen taking Craon’s Criterium de l’Ouest Sept. 8.
