Anjaal (GB) (Bahamian Bounty {GB}–Ballymore Celebre {Ire}, by Peintre Celebre), a winner of the G2 July S. at Newmarket as a juvenile in Sheikh Hamdan's Shadwell silks, has been retired to Rathasker Stud in Ireland for 2016. A winner at second asking after being purchased by Peter and Ross Doyle for 105,000gns from breeder Carmel Stud at Tattersalls October, Anjaal was also third in the G2 Lennox S. and ran fourth in the G1 Dewhurst S., en route to a record of

9-2-0-1 and earnings of $141,292. Anjaal is out of the winning Peintre Celebre mare Ballymore Celebre, who is a half-sister to MGSW and G1SP Nysaean (Ire) (Sadler's Wells), SW Charme Slave (Sicyos) and G1SP Celtic Cavalier (Ire) (Caerleon). The Richard Hannon, Sr.-trained Anjaal will stand for €5,000.

“Rathasker Stud is pleased to announce the purchase of Anjaal, a son of the ever popular Bahamian Bounty,” said Rathasker's Maurice Burns. “We feel that Anjaal will give our clients a fantastic speed outcross for their mares being free of Danehill/Danzig blood. A good looker, a precocious juvenile and a pedigree packed with black-type performers, we believe that he will sire the sprinter/miler type that is so popular in the commercial market.”

Added Ross Doyle, “Anjaal was a lovely yearling. He was a medium sized, strong, correct colt, a good walker with good bone and a nice length of rein. He was a proper 2-year-old type, which he showed when winning the G2 July S. at Newmarket.”
