Carroll to Decide on Kentucky with Ami’s Flatter

Ami’s Flatter (Flatter), who was third in Saturday’s GI Besilu Stable’s Florida Derby, seemed to exit the affair well. Trainer Josie Carroll explained that the connections will decide whether to attempt a run at the GI Kentucky Derby in the coming weeks. “I thought he ran a great race. The speed got away, and he just wasn’t able to make up enough ground,” the Woodbine-based conditioner said. “He’s going to ship to Toronto [Monday], and we’ll have three weeks to decide [about running in the Derby].”
