New Zealand training partners Lance O'Sullivan and Andrew Scott have been charged by the New Zealand Racing Integrity Unit with presenting three horses under their care to race above the permitted cobalt threshold last year, according to Racenet.com.au. O'Sullivan and Scott have blamed the positives on the horses' exposure to water troughs used by dairy cattle that contained water treated with cobalt. The allowed threshold is up to 200 micrograms per litre of urine. The three horses returned 541 ug/L, 640 ug/L and 309 ug/L.
