MeB Racing Stables, Brooklyn Boyz Stables and St. Elias Stable went to $675,000 at Keeneland September to acquire the regally-bred CAVARADOSSI (Speightstown), who debuts in this spot for trainer Todd Pletcher. Out of SW & GSP Rebridled Dreams (Unbridled's Song), the dark bay is a half to the Pletcher-trained MGISW Carpe Diem (Giant's Causeway), a $550,000 KEESEP yearling turned $1.6 million OBSMAR juvenile purchase, who now stands at WinStar. Cavaradossi is also a half to GISW J.B.'s Thunder (Thunder Gulch), MGSW filly Farrell (Malibu Moon), MSW & MGSP Doncaster Rover (War Chant) and GSP Semper Fortis (Distorted Humor). He boasts an upbeat worktab in preparation for this debut and will be piloted by Hall of Famer John Velazquez, who also rode Carpe Diem. Kiaran McLaughlin unveils another high-priced sophomore in Shadwell Stables $625,000 KEESEP purchase Almithmaar (Tapit&log=">Tapit). The gray is out of MGSW & GISP Gotta Have Her (Royal Academy), who has produced two winners from two foals to race. This is also the family of French Highweight and sire Lope de Vega (Ire) (Shamardal); and MGSWs Lady Blessington (Fr) (Baillamont) and Da Big Hoss (Lemon Drop Kid). Almithmaar enters this debut off a series of speedy breezes, most recently working a best-of-13 five furlongs in 1:01 flat at Palm Meadows Feb. 23. TomAlbertrani will also be represented by a blue-blooded firster in Final Frontier (Ghostzapper). Out of GSW Sahara Gold (Seeking the Gold), the Godolphin homebred is a full-brother to MGISW millionaire Better Lucky, who was also conditioned by Albertrani; and a half to GSW Sahara Heat (A.P. Indy). TJCIS PPs.

Grade I winner SAILOR'S VALENTINE (Mizzen Mast) returns from a 10-month layoff in this spot. The Eddie Kenneally pupil sprung a major upset in Keeneland's GI Ashland S. last spring, besting subsequent GI Kentucky Oaks runner-up Daddys Lil Darling (Scat Daddy) by a half-length at 22-1. The gray flattened to sixth behind champion Abel Tasman (Quality Road) in a sloppy renewal of the Run for the Lillies and has not been heard from since. TJCIS PPs.
