G1 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth S. winner Postponed (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}) worked Wednesday in Newmarket in preparation for the Sept. 13 G2 Prix Foy at Longchamp. The Prix Foy will serve as the 4-year-old’s prep for the G1 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe back in Paris Oct. 4.

“He’s 100%,” said trainer Luca Cumani of the Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum colorbearer. “He worked again and was in good form. We’re happy with him.”

While he expressed confidence in his charge, Cumani signaled his respect for a trio of Arc contenders in particular.

“Treve is the one, obviously, and then Golden Horn and Jack Hobbs may go there as well.” he said. “They are all good horses, but we like our horse.”

Cumani also provided an update on Jon Kelly’s exciting 2-year-old filly Beautiful Morning (GB) (Galileo {Ire}), who broke her maiden at second asking in a competitive York event last week. The 650,000gns Tattersalls purchase is the first foal out of Date With Destiny (Ire) (George Washington {Ire}), herself the lone produce of her four-time Group 1-winning ill-fated sire.

“She did very well,” the conditioner said. “We haven’t quite decided on her next target yet but she came out of the race well. She’ll run one more time this year; she’s got plenty of options.”

Those options include the G2 Rockfel S. Sept. 25 and the G1 Fillies Mile Oct. 9, for which Beautiful Morning holds entries.

Another Arc contender preparing for Longchamp’s prep card is G1 Grand Prix de Paris victor Erupt (Ire) (Dubawi {Ire}), who will go for the G2 Prix Niel. Trainer Francis Graffard said of the Niarchos Family’s homebred, “Erupt is fine–it’s so far, so good. He will go to the Prix Niel and then on to the Arc. The form from Longchamp [the Grand Prix de Paris] looks good, I think, as runner-up Ampere ran well at Deauville and [third] Storm The Stars won at York.”
